Having looked into Governor Northam’s Executive Order 53, we have decided to hold a “drive-in” Mass this Sunday, March 29 outside Our Lady of Fatima Chapel. The Governor, in his press conference, spoke favorably of those faith leaders who were using creative means to bring religious worship to their congregations. Likewise, in the question and answer section concerning EO 53 on the Governor’s website, we read: “Virginians are strongly encouraged to seek alternative means of attending religious services, such as virtually or via ‘drive-through’ worship.”
We will offer two such Masses this coming Sunday, one at 10:00am and one at 11:30am. In order not to exceed the capacity of parking spaces, we would ask you to sign-up below if you wish to attend one of these Masses. Please note that you are signing up per car, and that you will be remaining in your vehicle for the Mass itself.
In view of the situation, we regret that Saturday evening Mass will be canceled.
If you have questions or need to change the time you signed up for, please contact us at the OLF email address above.
